Family Fun at the Scotland Run & Festival

On Saturday, April 6, 2013 families can join the festivities at the 10th Annual Scotland Run (10k) and Festival in Central Park (a free event).  It’s a really fun morning, filled with live Scottish music, face painting, trip giveaways, and more! After rooting for racers in kilts, the entire brood can take part in these kid-friendly activities:

Bear Grylls Survival Academy

Learn how to brave the Highlands with tips from Scott Heffield, a survivalist professional, such as how to build shelters and even eat insects in the wild! http://beargryllssurvivalacademy.com/

Brian Duries, Geneologist

Using clan maps and a special database, Brian will help families chart their Scottish heritage.

Scottish-themed Photo Booth

Families can picture themselves in the Highlands with this interactive photo booth that comes with various accessories and props to wear.

Trip giveaways, dancers, face painting, and performances by the hot new Scottish band Stanley Odd.
