And if you love your mother, or the mother of your children, or the mother of the mother of your children, then you best be prepared to take them to brunch. But not just any brunch, rather the brunch of all brunches: Mother’s Day Brunch.

Haven’t thought of it? Worry not! I’ve got you covered.

Here are some pretty awesome brunch events happening just for her…and yes, you and all the other kids get to tag along too.

Andaz Wall Street, NY

Andaz Wall Street‘s is hosting what is being calls a “decadent” Mother’s Day Brunch at their Wall & Water restaurant, including a special raffle for mothers to enter to win a dinner for two at the restaurant.

The brunch includes: Cold Larder Buffet, Chef’s Amouse Bouche,  Choice of Entrée,  Dessert Buffet, Coffee or Tea & Choice of Juice or Mimosa. Other highlights include Lobster Benedict, Cabarnet Braised Short Ribs, Bananas Foster Waffle, Warm Rum Raisin Bread Pudding and Chocolate Covered Strawberries.

Listen, that’s a lot of food – even for mom. So maybe, if you’re lucky and she wins the raffle, she’ll let you have the prize and even offer to babysit. The brunch is offered Sunday, May 12, 2013 from 11am to 4pm and is priced at $45 for adult and $22 for kids 5 -12yrs. (does not include tax & gratuity). For reservations, call 212 699 1700. Ritz-Carlton Battery Park, Battery Park City, NY

Ritz-Carlton Battery Park is also hosting a Mother’s Day Brunch in their 2 West Restaurant, which I visited recently and had some of the most delicious French toast I have had in a long time!  The fabulous culinary delights will be prepared by Executive Chef James Dangler for the whole family to enjoy.Ritz_BatteryParkNY_00108_Gallery

Guests are invited to indulge in a delicious spread including Belgian waffle, eggs and omelet stations, Chef Suzuki’s sushi bar, and an authentic hand cured meat station. Some brunch favorites include savory Maine lobster bisque, jumbo gulf shrimp, and ricotta filled gnocchi with toasted pine nuts and sun-dried tomatoes. Children can enjoy the Ritz Kids Table that includes chicken fingers & fries, pizza and more. A lavish display of desserts from Pastry Chef Laurent Richard will top off this special Mother’s Day Brunch.

Mother’s Day Brunch will take place on May 12, 2013 from 11am to 3:30pm and is priced at $85 per person, $42.50 per child. To make reservations, please call (917) 790-2600.

Ocean Place Resort & Spa, Jersey Shore

I know it’s still a little cold to swim in the beach, but not to take in the views. Head out to the Jersey shore and treat her to the Mother’s Day Brunch hosted at Ocean Place Resort & Spa. She may compliment the views, but the highlights are really the complimentary mimosas. The Ocean View Restaurant has planned an elaborate buffet designed by Executive Chef Barry Walling and his talented culinary team. (Sounds pretty nice. Just saying.)

The Mother’s Day Brunch includes one complimentary mimosa per person and specialties as fresh baked muffins and croissants, smoked salmon with capers, eggs, tomatoes and fresh bagels, omelets and eggs to order, stuffed French toast, and an Ocean Place Seafood Display featuring chilled shrimp, Jonah crab claws, clams and oysters. Entrée choices will include seafood crepes with Mornay sauce; roast leg of lamb with fresh mint and lemon; herb roasted prime rib au jus with horseradish; and a selection of international cheeses and cured meats. Desserts will include a chocolate fondue fountain with fresh fruit, and a variety of cakes, pies and miniature bites.

Ocean Place Resort & Spa’s Mother’s Day Brunch will be served Sunday, May 12, from 11 to 3 p.m. The menu is priced at $49 per person and $25 for children ages 6 – 12, plus tax. Children ages 5 and under eat free.

And if all else fails you can try one of these other favorite and Best Brunch Spots in NYC. Just remember, call ahead and reserve!
