It always rains on my birthday. I’ve gotten used to this and on the very, very rare occasion it hasn’t, I’ve been surprised.

Some times, I stay home, under a warm blanket and enjoy the comfort of home, other times, I go out and make the most of it.

One way I made my night out in rainy New York more fun was by sharing the highlights on Findery. I talked about my work with them recently in Inspiring Travel Through Findery but since then they have released a new version, Findery 3, for iPhone with features that make the experience even more user friendly.

Here’s what to expect:

  • New look and simplified experience, with easier navigation and discovery. Easier swiping!
  • Browse nearby places and explore faraway destinations with Near and Far.
  • Adding notes to notemaps is far simpler. Newbie contributors are able to save great notes they write or find to: My Finds, I Want to Go Here, I’ve Been Here and Memories.
  • You can download the latest version from the App Store, and check out Near and Far. And don’t worry if you don’t have an iPhone. You can still join in on the sharing fun on the web,or Android.

Here are some examples of how I made the most of my special day, shared travel tips with others, and even encouraged others to share their own voice in my birthday fun.

I’m having fun with Findery and the many travel notemaps and adventures I get to share there, as well as the fun community of travelers I’m finding. Join in and let’s connect! You can find me at Girl Gone Travel.

Disclosure: I’ve partnered with Findery for the purpose of this review and the sharing of my experiences. All opinions are my own.
