A Thanksgiving story. ❤️ A Thanksgiving story. ❤️
Of all the things I am thankful for, at the very t Of all the things I am thankful for, at the very top of the list are my family and community of tight knit friends. This year marked the third year since we moved to the region full time. And though it still feels like I have one foot in and one foot out in some ways…not always feeling like I fit in, or missing so many elements of my life closer to the city, I do love it here and still very much feel a sense of awe of the life we are building. It feels lucky and surreal. Most of all, in a world full of relationships that are difficult and painful to navigate, especially during the holidays, I am most thankful that this is not a reality I, or my family, has to experience. Because life is too delicate and short to be wasted, and peace and joy too precious to be missed out on. My wish for those still navigating their way through relationships and communities that don’t fight for them, vote for them, support them, accept them, or protect them, is that you find your light and your people to guide you out and on to a path of love, safety, and peace. And if that is someone I can be for you, I willing accept.

Been smiling all day from all the messages of love Been smiling all day from all the messages of love and joy from our friends who joined us last night. It’s a reminder of the importance in coming together with people who make you feel loved, safe, and bring you joy. And who inspire you to give it back ten-fold. Hubby and I are actively preparing for big changes coming up in our lives, and still very much committed to the causes and issues that we care about, but we can’t lose sight of the people in our lives and the impact we can have in each other’s mental health and emotional wellbeing. There is not a lot we can control. But investing the good we have on the people who deserve it most is something we can all do everyday. Thank you to everyone who has brought so much happiness and light when we’ve felt we needed it most. 💗 Here’s our little lazy Sunday morning in Hammondsport, NY.
About last night: Life feels hard, but my communit About last night: Life feels hard, but my community goes harder. 💗We will be full for days not only from all the food we ate at Friendsgiving last night, but also from all the friendship and love shared. So much love to @nicklovesvino and Jake for traveling all the way from Boston, and @thisismaiah and @mr.grapeness for joining us after a long day at work in Rochester, but really also to everyone who shared of their time (and food and wine!) with us! @travisjcain and I feel so lucky to have found our people.
