A Walk Through History at Duke Farms, NJ

Oh, New Jersey. You never cease to amaze me. We've enjoyed finding more and more ways to spend time outdoors, in nature. But most of all, we've been able to enjoy it all at minimal cost, if not free. We've such enjoyed these awesome finds that when we aren't travel[...]

An Afternoon at the Morris Museum in Morristown, NJ

What is so great about NJ, I am finding, is that like NYC, it has a lot of different neighborhoods, each with its own personality. Traveling into a different neighborhood can make for a nice list of varied experiences and opportunities to explore. This weekend,[...]

Adventures Galore at Finger Lakes, New York

The first time I heard about the Finger Lakes  in upstate New York was while sipping on one of their delicious red wines and laughing it up with one of their lovely tourism representatives - the ladies are indeed lovely, but the wine definitely helped bring on the[...]

Apple Picking Fun in Riamede Farm in Chester, NJ

It's that time of the year! This year we discovered a new place to go pumpkin picking in Toano, VA at Pumpkinville and instead of venturing upstate like we have in the past, we decided to discover apple picking in New Jersey. Honestly, as I started writing this pos[...]

Sweet Fun at Hershey Park, PA

Return to Governors Island

It has been two years. Two years since we have been to Governors Island. I don't know why. Maybe because the last time we went it was so pathetically crowded (it was the opening day for the season after all), that I lost interest in going back, despite the great ti[...]

We found this spot a few years ago, before we moved to the area full time while at a rental nearby and immediately fell in love with its community and cozy vibe, and delicious coffee.

It’s even cuter than when we first visited while all the reasons we love it remain. Always worth a stop when in Geneva.
