Bordeaux from the river on a Uniworld Cruise

I recently went on my very first river cruise as the guest of Uniworld Cruises. This cruise took me back to my favorite French city, Bordeaux, where I was able to visit some places I fell in love with during my previous visit to the region. I was traveling on[...]

Wine Adventures through The Loire Valley, France

The Loire Valley in Central France is often called The Garden of France due to its many vineyards. Celebrated for its architecture, wine, and historic destinations - many of which are UNESCO Heritage Sites - this is a beautiful area to visit if you love wine, na[...]

Castles and Caves: Exploring the Loire Valley

I have learned a lot from my visits to France. Some of it being how much I so enjoy the countryside. Granted, I haven't really gotten to see too many coastal towns, but the countryside, the smaller cities, and vineyards are my absolute favorite destinations. It's[...]

Taking in Prague, Czech Republic

Though I visited Prague for the first time a few weeks now while on a luxury tour with Insight Vacations, it has taken me a bit to really wrap my head around how I was left feeling about it. Prague is a beautiful city, old and historic, artistic and cultural. It[...]

Getting to Know The Lake Tahoe Region

"Lake Tahoe is not a town, it's a region in both the states of CA and NV." This was one of the first lessons I learned upon arriving to the area as a guest of the Squaw Creek Resort. Like most people, I didn't really understand the geography of the area and, like[...]

Figuring Out Where I Belong

For a long time, too much time within the 5 year span of my blogging, I questioned whether I belonged in certain communities where more seasoned, professional writers would gather. At some point blogging shifted away from being seen as this superfluous, casual h[...]

Images of The Strip, Las Vegas

I can't really say that Las Vegas (the strip) is my thing, though I am a huge fan of what's happening in the culinary scene there and can't deny that the stage productions are truly one of a kind (a must see is Rose. Rabbit. Lie. by my friend David Foster, et. al.)[...]

Fall Road Trip to Lake Placid

Recently I was invited to check out the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid. So confident were their representatives of the fuel efficiency of the vehicle that they encouraged me to travel to any notable Fall foliage destination in the East Coast where I could both enjoy the benefi[...]

Fall in Central Park, NYC in Photos

New York City on any given day can feel like a lot. Which is why the few nature escapes in the city are so invaluable. Places like the beautifully historic Inwood Park, uptown, and then of course, the equally historic Central Park. Despite its complicated and racis[...]

Have you ever been to a shop so pretty and cozy it Have you ever been to a shop so pretty and cozy it makes you emotional? In NYC, @niconeco_zakkaya is up there as a fave for me.

This Japanese-inspired stationary boutique in the East Village gives me all the fuzzy feels and I was sad to hear that after 8 years unharmed, their charming shop sign was vandalized.

They are calling on a creative illustrator who might be interested in bringing a new one to life. Check their Insta for more. And as always, support, shop, and give all the love to small businesses wherever you live and your travels may take you. And next time you are in the East Village, go check them out, and their cafe in Williamsburg, @loafonpaperny (see my reel on them). My 🫶🏾 to this little shop.

We did what one does when the weather is just righ We did what one does when the weather is just right and the sun is shining over Brooklyn 🌞

Rode the ferry a few minutes from Dumbo to Williamsburg for a stroll and some delicious coffee.

Walked through Domino Park and into @birdeenyc, where I just had to taste a few of their delicious pastries and churro latte!

Then strolled over to @loafonpaperny and shopped for some pretty stationary goodies while sipping on their Earl Grey Matcha.

The perfect way to kick off a stunning day in the city!

My list of fave cafes continues to grow, and I am saving them in my “NY Cafes” highlights for those who are following along. ☕️

Healing my soul with people I love while trekking Healing my soul with people I love while trekking through glens in search of an eternal flame. 🔥

This hike, in Chestnut Ridge Park, near Orchard Park, a suburb of Buffalo, NY, is a moderate, 1.5-mile round trip (more or less) that takes you on forest trails, with some stairs, and creek walking; so definitely bring waterproof shoes with grip. This popular spot can get crowded, but if you’re lucky enough to have a solo experience like we did (because of rain), it’s pretty magical.
The most perfect date night in the most perfect li The most perfect date night in the most perfect little bistro in the most perfect New York destination. No, not NYC. The Finger Lakes.

The entire experience at @deanlanedining felt so incredibly elevated and special, and some might even say unexpected, especially from a farmhouse in rural Dundee, NY.

Husband and wife team, Michael and Lisa Dean create a wonderful farm-to-table prix fix menu, beautifully paired with wines selected by Sommelier @danbrezinsky, who, for as long as the moment allows, further complements the first tastings with a sharing of his deep knowledge and passion for the Finger Lakes wines he serves. The individual pairings per course (4) are optional but I do highly recommend as they influenced each dish and in some cases, my opinion of certain wines.

The vibe is intimate and personally, I enjoyed the early seating as I got to admire the sunset through the large dining room windows throughout my time there.

Their highly coveted B&B is fully booked for 2026, but reservations are open for limited seating at the restaurant, with menus changing weekly.

An absolute highlight, and a must during your visit to the Finger Lakes!
