Every time I visit Mexico I discover something new, or am able to see it in a new way. I have fallen in love with this country, and get excited every time I have the opportunity to come here, because no matter how many times I do, I am able to experience in a way I never did the last time I visited.
I had never gotten up to watch the sunrise, and though I am not a morning person, I have to say, it is something worth doing more than once during a visit here, especially if you are on the beach.
There’s a serenity that takes over as you watch the sun creep over the rising tides, a peaceful sense that convinces you that you will are guaranteed to have a great day. Being Playa del Carmen, you might find a straggler or two trying to recover from all the fun had the night before, fishermen scoping out a good area to toss their nets, and hotel employees preparing the area for guests to lounge in later in the day.
Regardless of the activity around me, I was able to take a deep breath as my heart fluttered in delight over the beautiful world in front of me. I so do love Mexico…every place I have visited here makes it more and more so. And this morning of photography helped to capture only one of the reasons why.
