Theodore Roosevelt National Park, ND

We left Billings, MT and were slowly starting to make our way home.  We now had to drive through North Dakota.  I had never driven through this state, but everyone I spoke to said it wasn’t much to look at.  The the scenery was flat and boring.

So you can imagine my surprise, as we drove down I94 when I started seeing huge cliffs, and than mountains in the skyline. From a distance they looked quite amazing.

We got off the road to see what this unexpected surprise was about, and came across Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Situated in the North Dakota Badlands, we had stumbled upon a 70,447-acre park and like the Badlands in South Dakota, the views were stunning.

Top of mind for us are all the protests that will be happening across the country against the illegal and violent attacks against Americans and Black and brown immigrants alike.
