Vacationing at Ohio’s Lake Erie Shores and Islands

I must've been 8 years old when I first visited Ohio. We were visiting an aunt who had moved there for work with her husband. It was the middle of summer, the July sun complimenting the golden landscape of wheat fields that surrounded us. My memories are much like[...]

Philadelphia with Kids in Tow

I haven't been to Philadelphia in years, and my husband - who is from Wisconsin - has always wanted to check it out. Because we had such a great 4th of July in Washington, DC a couple of years back, we thought it would be fun to celebrate the 4th in yet another ver[...]

The Six Best Surf Towns in the U.S.

Playing Tourists in NYC with Kids in Tow

A weekend in NYC is always a fun way to get away from our daily routine and take a mini-vacation without going far at all. Even when we lived in Manhattan, staying in NYC hotels for a night or two was a fun activity for us, as it allowed to take in the city as tour[...]

Travel Photography: Montreal, Quebec

Ok. I admit it. I loved Montreal. Montrealers are known for their pride of their hometown. I think they deserve to be. Montreal is a great city and their ability to hold on to two cultures and languages for generations is something I greatly admire and even envy.[...]

A Day in The Bronx Zoo

We have visited the Bronx Zoo many times and enjoy it because of how easy it is to spend the entire day there, as well as because of all the things to see and do. This time of the year, especially around noon, is a wonderful time to visit as the animals have had th[...]

Romantic Montreal, Quebec, Canada

I love traveling with my family. My boys are at that perfect age where they get along much better and are more patient with longer travels. Yes, I adore them. But every so often I crave a romantic trip alone with my husband, no kids in tow. Only a short trip out of[...]

Best Bagels in Montreal, Quebec

For the past two days I've been touring Montreal, Quebec, Canada with my husband and learning so much about this vibrant, family-friendly (as well as romantic) destination. I have a lot to share on both those angles, but before I did that, I needed to sit down and[...]

We found this spot a few years ago, before we moved to the area full time while at a rental nearby and immediately fell in love with its community and cozy vibe, and delicious coffee.

It’s even cuter than when we first visited while all the reasons we love it remain. Always worth a stop when in Geneva.
