In The Rain at Madison Square Park

It's been raining a lot in NYC for the past couple of weeks.  This has caused me to get somewhat creative in the things I do with the boys do during the day.  Luckily there is always something going on at the different public libraries throughout the city.  I te[...]

The Little Red Lighthouse, Ft. Washington Park, NY

It was Father's Day and because of a tight deadline he was on, the only thing my husband wanted to do was get some work done. It was rainy on and off (mostly on) and it seemed like the lazy Sunday would be spent inside. But with the boys getting louder and cabin f[...]

Discovering The High Line, NYC

One of the wonderful things about New York City is that just when you think you've seen it all, or know it all, something changes, reinvents itself, becomes anew, tempting you to come back and take another look, rediscover it, get to know it again.  It is why even[...]

Art and Fun Nelson A. Rockefeller Park, Battery Park, NYC

The Many Paths in Central Park

The past few days had gone by with me not feeling quite myelf.  Fighting a cold and feeling exhausted has kept me home-bound for two days, which is huge for me and the boys as they are always doing something or another. Today however, I was feeling not 100%, but a[...]

Spring in Bryant Park, NYC

It was a gorgeous spring day in NYC so I decided to take a stroll in the small, but lovely Bryant Park. When I worked in the area years ago this was the place I liked coming to to de-stress during my lunch hour or after work on warm nights. The park, surround[...]

Tale of Two Brothers in Neufled Playground, Riverside Park, NY

Another hot, sunny, pseudo-summer day in NYC.  I looked outside my window and saw the street vibrant with people in shorts and summer dresses, entering and exciting shops, eating ice cream, and enjoying the sun's heat.  My boys, on the other hand, were busy undoi[...]

A Hazy Afternoon in Battery Park, NY

Often times we tend to take for granted those things immediately around us. Life becomes so hectic, we really don't have time to notice and then when we do take the time to slow down, we go somewhere else, a place different then where we are every day. Thus, it is[...]

A Return Home to Sunset Park, Brooklyn

After the parade and before making our way home, I decided to scope out a couple of the surrounding neighborhoods in Brooklyn for potential places to live. For weeks now I have wanted to pass by my grandparent's former brownstone, the one I spent so much of my chil[...]

We found this spot a few years ago, before we moved to the area full time while at a rental nearby and immediately fell in love with its community and cozy vibe, and delicious coffee.

It’s even cuter than when we first visited while all the reasons we love it remain. Always worth a stop when in Geneva.
