You Got Me, California Wine Club

Well, I’ve done it.

I officially joined the California Wine Club. Yup. This past month of July was my last courtesy shipment for my part in the review campaign for their club and wines.

I blame Mom Spark and California Wine Club. It’s not easy to go from getting a shipment of great wines from California Mom and Pop wineries, for 3 consecutive months to then nothing at all.

And for less than $50 a month (including shipping), I thought I would consider it a gift to myself for being so awesome.

So there it was, the email that made me all happy inside:

Dear Carol,

Welcome to The California Wine Club!  Get ready to experience a true California wine adventure!

Your membership order will process by the next business day.  Ground delivery times are approximately 10 business days (excluding expedited air shipments).  Please remember that an adult signature will be required at the time of delivery.

And just like that: joy.

This last shipment delivered the W. Wheeler & Co. 2010 Saugvignon Blanc and the 2009 Sangiovese, which greeted me upon arrival from one of my trips. My husband and I didn’t it pair it with anything at all. We simply sat in the backyard on a not-so-sweltering-hot evening and drank and talked.

I didn’t take the time to decipher all the qualities of the wine, nor to break down the various essences that made it so delightful. Instead, I just enjoyed, as wine should be, till there was no more.

Of course, I am grateful to have had three months to try the services and the wines out, which led to making me a true fan and current customer. My home shall never again be without a good bottle of wine for myself or my friends. And the fact that I am supporting mom and pop wineries makes me feel even better about every future glass I will be enjoying from here on.

Cheers!

Disclosure: I have partnered up with Mom Spark Media to help promote the value and overall awesomeness of being a California Wine Club member. Endless wine drinking is required and I share opinions here that are strictly my own, but never under the influence. Remember don’t drink and drive, text, tweet or skype.
