I’m excited to announce a partnership with Canon for their Bring It in Brooklyn event this week. I am also trying out their new Canon EOS Rebel T6i, which I am enjoying.

I’ve followed Canon’s Bring It campaign for some time now on Twitter and have loved the photos that they’ve shared.

Besides encouraging users to share their images and creativity, Canon is looking to help us make the most of our photography experience. With the “Bring It In ______” initiative, Canon seeks to provide cool educational experiences that entice passionate travelers to “Bring It” in the local market they traveled to or live in. Canon recognized a huge concern among travelers – Occasion Remorse – that they regret investing in travel and not having their experience represented in the highest quality.

Bring It In Brooklyn at Brooklyn Bowl

This event is the first in a series of events that will educate travelers on how to “Bring It” on their next trip and capture their experiences in the best way. (Next stop – Portland.)

Upon arrival, attendees can borrow a camera and learn how to capture the best shots from some of Brooklyn’s celebrity photographers, such as Natalie Amrossi, Scott Borerro, Amy Stone, Stefan Karlstrom, and Rob Ceos. There will be also be theme-based zones that will offer organic educational moments for all attendees.

This event is open to the public on a first come, first served basis. The RSVP list is currently at capacity, but if you’re interested in being added to the wait list, head over to Flavorpill, and they’ll contact you if a spot opens up for Bring It In Brooklyn.

About Camera

Technically speaking, the EOS Rebel T6i, features a 24.2 Megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor, ISO 100-12800 (expandable to H: 25600) for shooting from bright to dim light and high performance DIGIC 6 Image Processor helps provide outstanding image quality.

My absolute favorite feature, besides quality of images, is the built-in Wi-Fi that allows for wirelessly transferring of images and videos to social networking sites with the free download of the Camera Connect app. The built-in NFC (Near Field Communication) allows quick and simple pairing to a compatible Android device.

The EOS Full HD Movie mode helps capture brilliant results in MP4 format for high quality shooting and easy movie sharing on social networking services.

From a more personal standpoint, I am loving the lightweight and find all the new features exciting. For starters, you’ll want to get off auto on this camera. There are so many fun settings to play with and getting access to the them is easy with the ISO button right at your fingertip and a menu button for easy access to other commands.

I’ve started to share my images on Instagram, if you want to follow along, using the WiFi feature.

The camera has a setting called “Kids” that helps capture those quick, fast action movements and fun activities with little ones. But, I found, it also does a nice job at capturing cute puppy pictures.

Even when trying to camouflage itself, the 55mm zoom was enough to capture this little prince in nature and these floral beauties below.

Also love the clarity of portraits and city scenes.
