Setting out on a new French wine adventure!
My first year, I had the opportunity to explore and discover not only the beautiful region of l’Aquitaine, but also fall in love with areas like Bordeaux, Bergerac, and St. Emilion.
Last year I felt that I had come closer to becoming a French citizen with all the time I spent cruising along the river shores of Bordeaux, exploring areas such as Reims, Poitiers, Dijon, and Montpellier, tasting the wines of the Loire Valley and taking a family road trip through France.
This year, I will be heading to the Rhone Valley touring the areas in and around Avignon. Avignon at sunset. Photo credit: ©Nicolas Bryant – Avignon Tourisme 2013
Before I do, I’ll spend some time in Paris doing a little tour which I hope you will join me on online.
Paris at night.
Follow me as I explore cafes and gardens and then through the Rhone Valley as I explore wineries, caves, quaint villages, and museums, as well as stay in beautiful chateaus along the way.
Of course, I will be sharing all my adventures on Instagram, as well as Twitter and Facebook and, as always, I welcome the discussion. I will be using my personal hashtag #GGTinFrance, as well as more official ones to help you follow along on the journey and to refer back to when you are planning your own French wine exploration vacation. When in Paris, I will use the official #24HoursinParis and when in the Rhone Valley, I will use #RhoneTravels. To see what me and the rest of the wine ambassadors are doing, follow #FranceWineTravels.
