NYC Travel Photography: When The City is Your Playground

Lately my boys have refused to be inside. I don’t blame them of course, we’ve been inside, sheltering ourselves from the cold for so long now that they have begun to reject the chill on their cheeks and decided to endure whatever the freezing temperatures may be just to be outside.

Because to them, the city is their playground, every corner a discovery, every block a path to adventure. Sometimes they go at it alone, sometimes they’ll bring along friends…but regardless, they wake up every day thrilled for another chance to play, to go out, and to live in New York City.

I love the photos. My kids would not go out when it's freezing. They like to be home. LOL I guess they're like me.

They are adventurous boys, for wanting to brave the cold like that! But I know the feeling – we all get that cabin fever after a while.

I just love your son's hair!!! Omg, is it still big and curly? So cute!

I'm mad at myself that we didn't let Chase play outside for his first snow! lol!!! I didnt have a snowsuit for him (got it afterward – too late though!) and was being a paranoid new mommy and kept him in. Darnit! He would have had so much fun and also those pics would have been priceless. Ehh, next time I guess!

Will she be put outside to guard livestock? No. She is far more likely to be on the couch getting belly rubs and watching TV with us, or going for long walks in the park or around our country cottage, or falling asleep in her cushy bed.
I’d like to introduce you to the newest member o I’d like to introduce you to the newest member of our family: Josie 🐾 She is a 2 year old Great Pyrenees mix - yes, I know, completely opposite from our previous fur babies. She loves cuddles and scratches, walks, and kisses. She also seemingly loves #Survivalofthethickest and her new bed.

We are teaching her to do more than just sit on command, and have yet to hear her bark, though based on her in-take form at the shelter, she will at the mailman.

Thank you to everyone at @schuylercountyhumane for connecting us with this sweet angel. We are going to shower her with all the love. 💕 Support your local humane society.
