Ok. I admit it. I loved Montreal.

Montrealers are known for their pride of their hometown. I think they deserve to be. Montreal is a great city and their ability to hold on to two cultures and languages for generations is something I greatly admire and even envy. Coming from NYC, I respect and understand cultural, hometown pride and Montrealers have much to be proud about, including all the awesome they have to offer those who visit. They are friendly and happy to share their city with you – to show it off, if you will – and I was more than happy to take it all in.

Montreal rocks and I can’t wait to go back and think you should visit as well.

    LOVE Montreal. It is a place our family vacations at least once per year. I was there in November and every time I go, I love the city more. It is such a diverse and exciting city, one that anyone and any family can really enjoy. I really liked your photos they portrayed the beauty of the city. familyfoodtravel.blogspot.ca

    Whoever sees and visit this country will surely be coming over and over again. Montreal is such an amazing place! I love the structures of the buildings and the sites which are so breath-taking!

Been smiling all day from all the messages of love Been smiling all day from all the messages of love and joy from our friends who joined us last night. It’s a reminder of the importance in coming together with people who make you feel loved, safe, and bring you joy. And who inspire you to give it back ten-fold. Hubby and I are actively preparing for big changes coming up in our lives, and still very much committed to the causes and issues that we care about, but we can’t lose sight of the people in our lives and the impact we can have in each other’s mental health and emotional wellbeing. There is not a lot we can control. But investing the good we have on the people who deserve it most is something we can all do everyday. Thank you to everyone who has brought so much happiness and light when we’ve felt we needed it most. 💗 Here’s our little lazy Sunday morning in Hammondsport, NY.
About last night: Life feels hard, but my communit About last night: Life feels hard, but my community goes harder. 💗We will be full for days not only from all the food we ate at Friendsgiving last night, but also from all the friendship and love shared. So much love to @nicklovesvino and Jake for traveling all the way from Boston, and @thisismaiah and @mr.grapeness for joining us after a long day at work in Rochester, but really also to everyone who shared of their time (and food and wine!) with us! @travisjcain and I feel so lucky to have found our people.
I was sad…so I came home to my people. I connect I was sad…so I came home to my people. I connected with strangers in so many different occasions, found comfort in that. Most importantly my family knows what we need to do for each other and I am looking forward to continuing to build community for my friends who aren’t as lucky as I am to be surrounded by so much goodness, something that is felt more so, whether you have it, but especially when you don’t, during the holiday season. This remains my focus. I found a lot of what I need to move on to what is next by immersing myself in spaces that felt safe and good. It made such a difference. So to my darling friends, I say again, if I can be that space you need, just let me know. ❤️ Only way is forward ❤️
I spent my teenage years in a country where a woma I spent my teenage years in a country where a woman does not have a right to bodily autonomy or choice - zero, where misogyny and homophobia, and all it brings is embedded in the culture, and where racism and hate towards immigrants, mainly Black immigrants, is prevalent and where socioeconomic divide is wide, and the poor constantly vote against their self interests. This is what we, the ones who experienced a lot of it, did to get through it till we had the power to either escape or work to change it. It’s a lot of what I will do now.

Maybe it’s an oldest child syndrome, or a Gen X syndrome, but kindness is overwhelming to me when demonstrated towards me and so it was a lot to take in and process. But I am eager for there is to learn…which is ALOT. Here I go y’all. ☕️

Definitely drive into Owego, NY. A perfect stop from NYC and Philly, and just a 50 min drive from Corning. I recently went with a craving for donuts from @owegodonutbeerco, which you can pair with any of their beer selections (self-serve by the glass or flight) or some perfectly made espresso. Not in the mood for something sweet? They also have a great selection of sandwiches and other bites to chose from.
