Perfect Breakfast, Focused Fitness Goals
If you were hungry during the BlogHer conference that took place this past week, you didn’t really have a hard time finding something to snack on, just a little challenge in finding something filling and healthy. Even the generous breakfast option for the conference were miles and miles of carbs that would only serve to fill me up with empty calories, that would later drain my energy for the remainder of the day.
I stayed true to my goal of sticking to yogurt whenever I could. The Dannon booth was easy to find, they had a great stock of new Activia Breakfast Blend products to try out, and the Dannon reps were friendly and happy to provide me with samples to get me going.
I also got to enjoy a great Dannon sponsored breakfast where health-conscious and delicious items were prepared by pastry chef Amanda Cook (www.bakelikeachef.com), all of which were made with both Dannon’s Activia Breakfast Blends, as well as with Dannon Oikos Greek yogurt.
I did at some point, especially towards the end of the conference, experience exhaustion. But I can say that none of it was due to starting my day with a bad breakfast. I didn’t work out as much as I wanted during my time at the conference because I chose sleep over anything else, so I was happy to have something I could pick up and walk around with, that didn’t leave me hungry in the end and adding unnecessary calories.
Oh, and my favorite flavor of the Activia breakfast Blend flavor of all the four available? Banana bread and apple cinnamon, over fruit especially (Vanilla and Maple and Brown Sugar are two other yummy options). It’s the perfect breakfast to help me stay focused on my fitness goals.
