Feeling the Love & Aruba Warmth in Times Square

ARUBABEACH2

Times Square hosted its annual Vow Renewal Ceremony 2013 on the red steps yesterday, while Aruba Tourism hosted the reception on a pop-up beach, complete with sand, warmth, and lounge chairs.

The day was one of the first where New Yorkers, though still somewhat cold, got a hint of Spring in the air. Times Square was alive with couples from all over signing up to exchange vows they had once before shared with each other.

As I waited on the sidelines, I watched loving partners laugh and smile, hug and cuddle each other, so incredibly in love. It also helped that some of the greatest romantic tunes were playing for all Times Square to enjoy. While my kids enjoyed their heart-shaped donuts from Dunkin Donuts, my husband and I took in all the romance around us.

A few lucky couples also won a second honeymoon courtesy of Aruba, a bonus for coming out and declaring their love in front of the world. Over 250 couples renewed their vows and it was a sight to behold. I am pretty sure that even the most Scroogiest of  Valentine’s Day Scrooge would’ve felt a little tug at the heart-strings.

The Times Square Alliance will be hosting Free Love Times Square during the month of February with discounts and deals from local merchants, as well as access for photo opportunities on the Heartwalk, a temporary sculpture currently on display.

I Saw a comment somewhere on facebook about your site and I LOVEIT!!!

I am a mother of two. I was a single mom when they were very little. My son was 3 when I met the man who became my husband three weeks later on Halloween even. What a treat, right? Sometimes I think I was tricked, but it has been eighteen years and we went out on a date last night.

So at the end of the day, I'd have to say its been a treat, We didnt have the big wedding, I had done that already, he never did. We talk about a renewal on our 20th. I want him to have the experience of that. Then I can use it for an excuse to wear a gorgeous dress and take another trip to somewhere we havent been before.

Oh I do love to travel….

I'll keep following you for tips and tricks and I'll let you know how my plan are going as I look for ideas on how I might pull this renewal of the vows thing off.

Wish me luck. I am so glad I happened upon this site.

    Sincerely,

    Beth

@Beth Harris: Thank you so much Beth! My husband and I (whom I met when my oldest was 5 – I was a single mom too!) are planning our vow renewal in Scotland for Dec. 2014. I think celebrating love and a lasting relationship is so much more romantic : )) Wish you luck in your plans and thanks so much for reading!

Vacation rentals Aruba on the beach are easily available near the beach at very affordable and reasonable rents. Many facilities are offered to individuals like beer bar near the swimming pool, dining near the sea shore, jacuzzi and bathtub and spacious bedrooms with king size beds and balcony to enjoy the beach view from the top.
